What is Sequential Search?

  • Sequential search is a basic search technique that examines each element one by one in an array or list to find a specific item.

Keywords

  • Examine Sequentially: Each element in the array or list is checked in order from the beginning.

  • Simple Comparison: Each element is compared to the value being sought.

  • Repetition: The examination continues until the desired value is found or the end of the array is reached.

  • Time Complexity (O(n)): The time complexity of sequential search is proportional to the number of elements.
